I attended Senator DeMint's townhall meeting at Rioz Steakhouse August 19 in Myrtle Beach.
I also attended an August 20 lunch meeting of Conservative for Responsible Government - I am NOT a "conservative" - I attended to ask Rep. Henry Brown a few questions. I asked 2 questions on camera and another that is not filmed.
I said, "Thank you for co-sponsoring HR1207. What is your opinion of the "Read the Bills Act"?"
He responded, "There are some bills we don't need to read, we already know how we're going to vote."

Darryl - I met you today outside of Sen. Demint's townhall meeting... it was a pleasure meeting another like minded patriot! (I had the hand-written neon sign) Please continue to press on in the "fight" for liberty... if each of us does our part in standing firm against tyranny even if just by informing our neighbors (in our communities or even the internet) we will know we have done all we can no matter the outcome. My hope and prayer is that this Revolution will be a peaceful one but no matter what I believe there will be a revolution. The American people have been pushed with their back against the wall and I believe they are waking up now for the first time in decades to what is at stake here. The other side (global elite? power people? international bankers? whatever you want to call them) is probably shocked at the push back of the people confronting many of their unresponsive representatives at Town Hall meetings across America. The Jim Demint meeting was a real encouragement to me because he really understands the issues and is a rare voice of reason in the US Senate. Anyway, continue in your good work for the cause of Liberty! Take care & God bless...
